double page spread

Double spread page
Colour usage: I will try to use some brighter colours, using more red and white so that my magazine isn’t all dark and dull colours. This will make the article look brighter and therefore more appealing to the reader.

Image Usage: I will use 2 images on my double spread . One of these will be a black and white photo to give of the old/vintage effect and this image will be a posed image where they are looking at the camera. On the other hand the other photo will be of them laughing or smiling, a more natural photo taken during a conversation. I do have a second option of 1 photo taking up the full double spread of the artist sitting down on a couch leaning forward looking straight a t the camera, or sitting back relaxed slightly looking up at and writing above tem across the two pages. I will go with the first option and change to the other if I find it will work better.

Text Usage: I will use alliteration, metaphors and imagery to try and get across the attitude of the artist as well as slogans and lines from songs to show an arrogant side to them. i will use 1st, 2nd and 3rd person in my text to incorporate all the different kinds of language use.

Layout and Font: the layout will be simple and easy to navigate with font that is not too formal but not to informal so that it has a nice balance being fun and easy to read, but not to childish. The size of the font will be big enough so that people can easily see it without struggle, but once again not too big that it doesn’t fit on the page. If the layout goes to plan the two images, as well as some of the main quotes in circles will break up the text making it look more appealing and readable.
